Climate
Ushuaia is a city known to have extreme climate changes over short periods of time. Instead of being something to worry about, allow it to brighten your day: you may be able to experience four different seasons in this wonderful city in only one day! Therefore, it is always recommended to wear water resistant shoes and a windbreaker.
Documentation
Tourists must hold a valid passport with entrance stamp. Crewmembers of small expedition ships should have Shore Pass (Argentinean Identity Card). However, Ushuaia is a small town, so, in the very unlikely event of being requested to show an ID, any photo ID will work.
Currency
Commercial activity is very proficient. Cash transactions in Argentinian pesos, US dollars, and euros, as well as credit cards are all accepted. If you need to exchange currency, you can do so during banking hours (Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm) in banks and exchange offices located mostly throughout San Martín Street.

Commercial hours in Ushuaia are Monday to Saturday from 10am to 1pm and 4pm to 9pm in most cases. Supermarkets, however, operate from Monday to Sunday from 9am to 10pm.
Airport
The Malvinas Argentinas International Airport is 15 minutes away by car from the port area. Taxis are not authorized to enter the port terminal so they can be found at the exit gate. If special transfer from the ship to the airport is needed, same can be arranged by us.
Dining
Ushuaia offers a wide gastronomic variety: grills, pizzerias, seafood... Most restaurants are located on San Martín Street.We are at your disposal to give you a more specific recommendation.
